Agafay desert camp tour

Day 1

Arrival at Marrakech airport.
Reception by our staff and transfer to riad. Welcome tea.

Day 2

After breakfast departure for a guided tour of the medina, souqs and monuments of Marrakech. Nicknamed “The Pearl of the South” and founded in the 12th century by the Almoravid dynasty, the “Red City of Morocco” is an ever-changing place that will overwhelm your senses. Visit the Saadian Tombs, the Palais de la Bahia, the Medersa Ben Youssef, the souqs, and stroll through the city’s alleyways full of fascinating scenery. Finally visit the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square, where the show is permanent: snake charmers, fire-eaters and performers of all kinds.
In the afternoon free time to stroll independently around the red city.

Day 3

Free Time.
You will have time to visit the beautiful Jardin Majorelle, designed by French artist Jaques Majorelle and opened in 1924. Later this villa and its garden, with more than 300 species of plants from five continents, were purchased by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner and later donated to the city of Marrakech.
Or to unearth the beautiful Jardin Secret hidden among the alleys of the medina.
Take a stroll and shop in the souk and Jemaa el-Fna square, with its lively atmosphere both day and night.
Or again if you prefer you could try a relaxing massage with Argan oil and black soap, and experience the pools in one of the medina’s many hammams.

Day 4

A 50-minute drive from the center of Marrakech is the “desert” of Agafay. This is not a Saharan landscape: there is not much sand here, but a huge expanse of stone that never seems to end, where there is an alternation of barren, seemingly abandoned, semi-lunar-looking plateaus. A very fascinating landscape.
Here it is possible to walk on horseback, on dromedaries, take a quad bike excursion…(optional activities).
